Centennial Celebrations 2016

National Services scheme

National Service Scheme is designed to provide a platform for students to engage in socially productive activities. The NSS Ramjas has inculcated the qualities of leadership in the very significant area of social dynamism, be it gender sensitization, awareness regarding hygiene and cleanliness in slum areas. It has also shown its concern in environment related issues also, for example Paper recycling, save tree campaign and many more events. NSS has always helped the college to grow up all around.

Recycling paper conserves natural resources, saves energy, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and keeps landfill space free for other types of trash that can't be recycled. In this respect NSS Ramjas had organized the paper recycling event and 2100 kg paper was recycled. The Vice Chancellor of Delhi University appreciated us all and asked for a proposal for initiation of the recycling process in DU.

This time our focus is on spreading the awareness regarding health and hygiene and on sanitation issues. Regarding these issues NSS Ramjas volunteers visited the nearby slum areas to spread awareness among the people and prepared a documentary shoot.

Duniya Main Aadmi He Ek Matra Aisa Prani Hai Jo Ped Katta Hai, Uska Kagaz Banata Hai Aur Upar Likhta Hai ” Ped Bachao” !!

To flush this irony NSS Ramjas first took the initiative of paper recycling and on a regular basis organises the plantation drive to maintain the ecosystem.

Women’s safety awareness week was also organised to enhance the capability of women. A self- defence camp was organised by Black belt holders. They trained around 60 girls. Their training was indeed praiseworthy.

NSS Ramjas is trying to achieve the motto of NSS .i.e., “Not me not you but we”. NSS Ramjas is always ready and enthusiastic towards social service and will always work for the betterment of society.
